His debut Worlds promised an innovative sound that went beyond the confines of dubstep; with this new album he delivers just that promise.

Porter Robinson is an American DJ and producer known for creating immersive soundscapes that bridge euphoria with melancholia. As one of the leading names in electronic music, he has garnered multiple accolades such as five top ten positions on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list – not forgetting his captivating live shows that leave audiences entranced.
At 12, he began creating music after being inspired by video game soundtracks and their accompanying scores. Soon thereafter, he started making online waves before finally releasing his first EP “Say My Name,” with one track receiving critical acclaim due to its haunting sounds.
In 2020, he released Nurture, which marked a departure from his complextro sound to emphasize enjoying life. He hosted his inaugural music festival Second Sky while raising funds for Burkitt Lymphoma patients through the Robinson Malawi Fund.
In 2021, he released the single Shelter featuring Wednesday Campanella on vocals; later that same year came out a deluxe version of his album.
He started making music at the age of 12
At a time when many artists struggle to find their artistic voice in music, it’s rare for someone so young to start making music at such an early age. This young multi-instrumentalist played piano, flute, clarinet, saxophone and trumpet before ultimately choosing guitar as her instrument of choice.

Nurture, his 2021 sophomore album, represents an oblique departure from the hyperpop style of 2014 debut Worlds but still finds him pushing beyond DJ-friendly limits. On tracks such as “Look at the Sky”, Porter modulates his vocals to add emotion to its piano keys and synths. On another song called Sad Machine” using Vocaloid software to capture its distinctive Japanese pop vibe.
He has released four studio albums
Worlds was released in 2014 and quickly became an iconic album for many listeners. Nurture is an intimate project in which he explores his true emotions as an incredible pianist – using that talent in producing this album.
In 2016, he released an anime music video featuring Madeon for his hit single, “Shelter.” A live tour was also organized. A year later, he released the critically-acclaimed sophomore album Nurture with two singles “Get Your Wish” and “Something Comforting”, both reaching Top Ten of both Heatseekers chart and Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
Robinson debuted his third studio album SMILE! 😀 at an intimate listening party for fans in Los Angeles that sold out. This 10-track display of maximalist hyperpop, alternative, and pop punk styles heralds a new chapter for this producer.

Robinson expanded upon his sound at BleauLive by shifting away from traditional mixer/turntable sets to include guitar in his mix, in addition to using spherical balls as drums and an LED screen to create an immersive experience.
His new songs such as “Language” and “Flicker” showcase his musical growth as well, showing an empathetic side to his music. Some critics have labeled his style childish; however, he embraced Japanese nerd culture by using Vocaloid software on vocals of “Sad Machine”.
